Price history window correct, Price in Portfolio is not updated. Duplicate data error received when attempting to manually update stock prices

If this is related to the price stored in the Price History window but not displayed correctly in Portfolio holding, this is most probably due to 2 reasons:

  1. You may have future pricing date stored in the database, or
  2. You may be missing the trigger.

For (1), this means the price in the Price History window show the latest price of, say 0.065 for AZV on 16/1/2018, but actually, due to some data entry or file import error, the price history window stored 0.063 for AZV on, say, 16/12/2020. It may show 0.063. Or internally, there was a max price table which was corrupted.

This can be fixed in 2 steps:

  1. Open the Price History window (F9), retrieve the stock price for AZV from 17/1/2018 to 1/1/2049. If there is any record returned, delete it.
  2. Click Tool -> Database Maintenance [Refresh Price Data Structure] from the menu
